A public, plain language standard. Here is how we select providers for the directory, how the verified tier goes further, and what it takes to stay in either.
Two tiers, side by side.
Sourced from public licensing records. Name, specialty, location, and credentials pulled from state boards and public directories.
(claimed and subscribed)
Providers who have claimed their profile, subscribed to PsyCare+, and passed the three checks below.
They carry the verified status so patients can filter to them if they want the extra assurance.
The three checks below apply to the verified tier.
No exceptions. No grandfathering.
Degrees, certifications, and specialty training confirmed against issuing institutions or recognized certifying bodies.
Active professional licenses verified against the relevant state board or national registry. Lapsed or revoked licenses block listing.
Current practice address, working contact information, and real availability to see patients confirmed before the profile goes live as verified.
For verified providers, here is what each check means in practice. For listed providers, the profile reflects public record information. We do not claim to have individually confirmed these details with them.
Any provider can request edits, corrections, or removal by contacting our team. We handle changes manually, usually within a few business days. Verified providers get priority turnaround. Removal is always granted, no questions asked.
Some provider bios, condition summaries, and blog content on PsyCare+ are AI-drafted from publicly available material and then reviewed by a human before publishing. Any page where that applies is labeled. Any provider who wants their AI-drafted bio replaced, corrected, or removed can contact our team and we will update it manually. Verified providers get priority turnaround on these requests.
